A fairer starting point for diamond sellers
CaratBid exists because selling a natural diamond has traditionally meant accepting one person's number. We think a seller deserves to see what several verified buyers are prepared to offer.
What we do
CaratBid is a marketplace where natural diamond sellers receive competing offers from multiple verified diamond buyers. A seller submits their diamond once. We match it to buyers whose purchasing criteria fit and invite those buyers to offer independently. The seller reviews the offers and decides.
What we are not
We are not a diamond buyer, a jeweller, a pawnbroker or a valuer. We do not take possession of diamonds and we do not process payments. CaratBid introduces the two sides of a transaction and keeps the process structured, private and recorded.
Our standards
- Buyers are reviewed and approved before they can receive opportunities.
- Seller identity and contact details are never disclosed to buyers by CaratBid.
- Offers are recorded in writing with amount, currency, conditions and time.
- Sellers are never charged and are never obliged to accept.
- Diamonds must be lawfully owned by the person submitting them.
Where we operate
CaratBid is built for the European market and works with buyers across Europe and internationally. Submissions are accepted from sellers in many countries; buyer demand varies by region and by diamond.
